Shorinji Kempo Hiroshima Motomachi Doin is in the Naka Ward of Hiroshima City, Japan. Shorinji Kempo was founded in 1947 by So Doshin , a former Japanese military intelligence officer in China before and during World War II. It is apparently a modified version of Shaolin Kung Fu. Shorinji Kempo is both a martial art and a quasi-religious/educational institution. It is headquartered in Kagawa Prefecture and the headquarters is modeled after a Buddhist temple. The Motomachi Doin is run by Watadani Shinichi and teaches adults and children.
I took this picture after getting lost in Hiroshima during my weekend trip there during my semester in Japan in 2013.
広島市中区で少林寺拳法広島基町道院は大人と子供に教えている少林寺拳法道場です。少林寺拳法は宗道臣開祖を修正した少林寺カンフーです。基町道院長は渡谷 真一です。
