World Seido Karate’s Honbu Dojo is located in Midtown Manhattan. Tadashi Nakamura, the founder, pioneered Kyokushin Karate in the United States after being sent here by Sosai Mas Oyama in 1966. After resigning from the Kyokushinkaikan, he established Seido Juku in 1976. Seido Juku focuses on the practitioners’ personal/spiritual development as well as physical training.

マンハッタンのミッドタウンで世界誠道空手道連盟誠道塾総本部道場は大人と子供に教えている誠塾空手道場です。1976年に元極真会館のニューヨーク支部長中村忠会長は極真会館を辞任して、世界誠道空手道連盟誠道塾を設立しました。

Zen Goju Temple is in the Midwood/Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, New York. Vincent Merenda trained under USA GoJu founder, Peter Urban, and achieved the rank of 10th Dan. His school, Zen Goju Temple, has been in operation for over 30 years.

Peter Urban served in the US Navy during the 1950s and trained Karate with both Gogen Yamaguchi and Mas Oyama. He became a full time student of Yamaguchi and eventually moved back to New York and opened a dojo. After a falling out with Yamaguchi in the mid-60s, he founded an independent style called the USA GoJu Association.

ブルックリンのミッドウッド/ベンソンハーストで禅剛柔寺は米国剛柔空手道場です。道場長は米国剛柔会の開祖ピーター・アーバンのトップ弟子ヴィンセント・メレンダー１０段です。この道場でメレンダー師範は３０年以上空手を教えてます。

１９５０年代にピーター・アーバンは山口剛玄と大山倍達から空手を習いました。その内、山口剛玄はアーバンの主要先生になりました。１９６０年代にアーバン師範を帰国して、ニューヨークで剛柔会のニューヨーク支部長になりました。山口と仲間割れして、アーバン師範は自主的な連盟『米国剛柔会』を興しました。

 Honma Dojo is located on St Marks Place in Manhattan’s East Village.With roots in Mas Oyama’s Kyokushin Karate and Nobuyuki Kishi’s dojo in New York, Honma Dojo is an independent dojo that focuses on self-defense and self-development. The dojo teaches children and adults.

マンハッタンのイーストビレッジで空手道本間道場は大人と子供を教えてる無所属フルコンタクト空手道場です。本間道場のルーツは極真空手とニューヨークの岸信行岸道場です。

Notes/コメント：Founded in 1994, Kyokushin Karate New York is the headquarters for the IKO in the United States. The head instructor, Katsuhito Gorai Shihan, is a member of the International Committee and travels the world teaching and attending seminars throughout the year. The dojo has been home to many now famous fighters in the Kyokushin world and has produced a number of North American champion fighters. The dojo organizes the annual All American Open Karate Championship in New York City. I have been training at this dojo for nearly a decade.

1994年創建して,米国アリアの本部道場です。道場長五来克仁師範は極真会館の際委員会委員です。毎年ニューヨーク支部道場はニューヨークの中心部でオールアメリカンオーペン選手権大会を仕切ってます。その大会は世界大会の予選です。この道場はうちの道場です。
