Aikido In The Fan Dojo is on West Main Street in Richmond, Virginia. It is a not-for-profit charity that teaches traditional Aikido under the direction of Sensei Tobin Foster and Joe Montague. The dojo is affiliated with Saotome Mitsugi Shihan’s Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU).The Fan Dojo also offers classes in Shinto Muso Ryu Jodo and Cuong Nhu, a comprehensive martial art from Vietnam.

The Butokuden Dojo in Irvine, California is a multidiscipline martial arts training center. It was founded by Taro Ariga Kancho as a cultural organization that provides access to activities and classes rooted in Japanese culture. It currently offers classes in Kendo, Enshin Karate, Naginata, Aikido, Iaijutsu (Suio Ryu), Jodo, and Ikebana. It is named after the Butokuden in Kyoto, the former headquarters of the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai and current location of the Kyoto City Budo Center.

Notes/コメント： NYBA currently rents space at a big dance studio on 8th Ave near Penn Station in Manhattan and trains in Ryushin Shouchi Ryu Iaido and Seitei Jodo. The dojocho, Phil Ortiz Sensei, holds instructor ranking in a number of traditional Japanese martial arts and Mitch Sensei has been teaching Zoom and in-person sword classes and holding events throughout the pandemic.

Notes/コメント：Founded in 1975, the Kobukan Dojo teaches the art of the Jo, the Japanese short stick. Shinto Muso Ryu Jojutsu was developed by Muso Gennosuke, who famously tested his art against Miyamoto Musashi, in the 1600’s.
