Founded in 1882 by Kano Jigoro, the Kodokan Judo Institute is the headquarters of the worldwide Judo community. With the main dojo on the 7th floor and several other smaller dojo throughout the building,it offers classes to beginners and Olympic level Judoka alike.

There is also a dormitory for visiting Judo practitioners, a Judo museum , and an observation deck above the main dojo (8th floor.)

１８８２年に嘉納治五郎先生を創建しました。講道館は世界的な柔道コミュニティの本部です。7階で大道場と他の階に数道場があって、子供からオリンピックレベル選手は練習できます。

他の階で寮や講道館柔道資料館があります。

Notes/コメント：The original Honbu Dojo was a wooden structure built in 1931. In 1967, the wooden building was replaced by the modern concrete building in the same plot of land in the Wakamatsu-Cho neighborhood of Shinjuku. The Honbu Dojo is the headquarters of the Aikikai and the current head instructor is Mitsuteru Ueshiba Sensei, the son of the current Doshu, or head of the Aikikai Foundation.

1931年新宿若松町で合気道開祖植芝盛平大先生創建した植芝道場が起点となっています。元の木造の建物は1967年に現在のコンクリートの建物に置き換えられました。現在、本部道場の道場長は現代の三代目道主植芝守央の長男植芝充央です。

Notes/コメント：International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan Hiroshima Branch Honbu Dojo. Was exploring Hiroshima with some friends in July of 2015 and happened upon this dojo. The Shibucho is Katsuyuki Oda, a former uchi deshi under Mas Oyama at the Tokyo Honbu. He has produced some notable female fighters such as Yukina Oda and Yuma Tasaki

1996年元そう本部道場の内弟子小田勝幸先生を創建しました。2015年広島市で散歩中この道場にたまたま出会いました。現在、全世界 型 優勝者１名、全世界 組手 準優勝者１名、全日本 組手 優勝者４名、全日本 組手 準優勝者７名在籍。

The Honbu Dojo of I.K.O. Nakamura Dojo near Shinkaichi Station in Kobe. Nakamura Makoto is the only person in Kyokushin history to win the World Tournament twice.

I trained at a sub-branch of this dojo when it was still part of IKO-1

Notes/コメント：The New York Seibukan Dojo is an Isshin Ryu Karate and Sousuishi Ryu Jujutsu dojo in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens.
Sōsuishi-ryū Kumi Uchi Koshi No Mawari was founded in 1650 as a comprehensive martial art with both Jujutsu ( this style calls it kumi uchi) and Kenjutsu (called Koshi No Mawari) elements being taught. The honbu dojo for the style is the Sekiryukan in Fukuoka. The Sekiryukan claims to be the oldest dojo in Japan and is famous for its senbondori, which an exponent fights 1,000 people or for 1,000 rounds of free fighting. There is also a Tokyo branch that focuses on sword fighting in full samurai armor as well as Jujutsu

ニューヨーク正武館道場は一心流空手と双水執流柔術道場です。1650年に創建して、双水執流組討腰之廻は柔術（組討）と剣術（腰之廻）流派です。福岡での隻流館は本部道場です。隻流館の千本取り有名なイベントです。

Notes/コメント：This is a full contact karate style that started the K-1 kickboxing promotion. Many famous Kyokushin fighters like Andy Hug, Filho, and Feitosa also fought in K-1 in the 90’s and 00’s. 

1981年芦原英幸の弟子石井和義を創建しました。９０、２０００年代にはKー１で正道会館の選手が多かったです。

Notes/コメント：Built and founded in 1964, the Honbu Dojo of the Kyokushinkaikan was headquarters for the organization of up to 12 million practitioners and housed the founder, Mas Oyama’s, office. This is where Sosai Mas Oyama taught and where generations of uchi deshi, sensei, and shihan lived and trained.

1964年創建して、この道場は1200万会員だった連盟の総本部道場です。ここに大山倍達総裁は何世代にもわたって生徒達や内弟子などに教えました。

Notes/コメント：The Japan Karate Association was founded in 1948 by students of Funakoshi Gichin and has become one of the main schools of Shotokan Karate.
