Traditional Karate Center is a Goju Ryu dojo in Matawan, New Jersey. Shihan Michael Buttermark (Renshi,5th Dan) is originally from New York City and has been training Goju Ryu for 40 years. He trained in Japan during his time in the U.S. Air Force. The dojo teaches adults and children and is affiliated with the International Karatedo Gojukai Association. The IKGA was originally founded by the late great Gogen Yamaguchi and is currently lead by his son, Goshi.
