Unity Jiu Jitsu is on 14th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues in Manhattan. Murilo Santana, a native of São Paulo,Brazil, is a black belt under Mario Yamasaki and a world champion. Ana Lowry began training in 2006 and then moved to Brazil for 5 years of intense training. She manages the gym, the kids’ and women’s programs, and the introduction course. Unity is apolitical and welcomes everyone who wants to train with them.

Radical MMA is on 29th Street on Manhattan’s West Side. Owned and operated by Rene Dreifuss, a Karate, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. Rene trained in Shotokan Karate under Toyotaro Miyazaki in Queens and eventually moved to Japan to study Judo at the Kodokan. Unfortunately, a car accident left him severely injured and forced him to move back to New York. He got into Jiu Jitsu and MMA after recovering. He speaks Japanese and has a Master’s Degree in Asian Studies ( I have an undergraduate degree in the same subject.). Radical MMA teaches classes in Combat-style Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, and Shoot Boxing. Rene also hosts The Martial Culture Podcast.

マンハッタンのチェルシーでラジカルMMAはコンバット柔術、柔道、レスリング、シュートボクシングを教えてるジムです。道場長は柔道、ブラジリアン柔術、空手有段者レネ・ヅライファス先生です。レネ先生は国際松濤会空手道連盟開祖宮崎先生の元弟子です。９０年代にレネ先生は講道館で柔道をやりました。レネ先生はアジア文化学に修士を持って日本語がペラペラです。

Founded in 2008 by Hiro Iwata Sensei, the Iwata style of Karate is an independent style that has roots in Kyokushin Karate and World Oyama Karate. Iwata Sensei was an uchi deshi of the late Soshu Shigeru Oyama.

２００８年に創建して、空手道岩田道場はマンハッタンのチェルシーでインディペンデントフルコンタクト空手道場です。道場長岩田洋明先生は元国際大山空手道連盟の最高師範大山茂の内弟子です。
