Bio/作者紹介

My name is Chris and I currently live in New York City. I am a lifelong martial artist with a background in Taekwondo, Kyokushin Karate, and a tiny bit of Judo. I lived in Japan in 2013 (as an exchange student) and 2015 (as an English teacher) and one of my favorite things to do on my days off was to go and check out various dojo ( and occasionally martial arts stores) that were in and around the neighborhoods I lived in. I hope this site can serve as a resource for anyone wanting to learn a martial art here in the United States or in Japan.

This site is purely meant for informational purposes and/or as a resource. I have no formal relationship with any of the dojo, teachers, or organizations listed, unless otherwise stated.

こんにちは！ニューヨーク在住クリスと申します。4歳からテコンドーをやって,現在に極真空手をやってます。柔道も少しやりました。ニューヨーク生まれてニューヨーク育ちですけれども、２０１３年と２０１５年日本に住んでました。日本に住んだ時、休日に近所の周り道場(時々武道具屋も)を探しました。今まで、ニューヨークと日本への道場を探しています。

このサイトは武道に興味がある方のリーソスです。特に明記しない限り、道場に所属してません。よろしくお願いいたします！

For the most part, I will only be posting about dojo that occupy an entire building or part of a building. There must be at least one sign listing the name of the dojo. Dojo that occupy community centers or other kinds of public or private buildings that do not have a sign outside will unfortunately not be listed.( Unless otherwise noted.)

All translations are done by myself, so I apologize for any mistakes or oddly phrased Japanese.
