Notes/コメント：The honbu dojo of the World Traditional Karate Organization, a Shotokan dojo run by Richard Amos Shihan, 7th dan WTKO Head Instructor. Amos Shihan was the second foreigner to complete what was then the Japan Karate Association( Asai-faction) and what is now the Japan Karate Shoto Federation’ s three year Kenshusei instructors’ program.

この道場は世界伝統空手団体の総本部道場。リチャードアモス本部長は９０代に日本空手協会（浅井派/現代の日本空手松涛連盟 ）の研修生プログラムの第２目外国人卒業生です。

Notes/コメント：Founded in 1994, Kyokushin Karate New York is the headquarters for the IKO in the United States. The head instructor, Katsuhito Gorai Shihan, is a member of the International Committee and travels the world teaching and attending seminars throughout the year. The dojo has been home to many now famous fighters in the Kyokushin world and has produced a number of North American champion fighters. The dojo organizes the annual All American Open Karate Championship in New York City. I have been training at this dojo for nearly a decade.

1994年創建して,米国アリアの本部道場です。道場長五来克仁師範は極真会館の際委員会委員です。毎年ニューヨーク支部道場はニューヨークの中心部でオールアメリカンオーペン選手権大会を仕切ってます。その大会は世界大会の予選です。この道場はうちの道場です。

Notes/コメント：Established in 1786 as a private dojo for a sake brewer, it got the name Shubukan in 1885. Tendo Ryu, currently headed by Kimura Yasuko, is actually a sougo bujutsu. Meaning it is a comprehensive martial art with various weapons and hand to hand techniques. Tendo Ryu Naginatajutsu, Atarashii ( sport) Naginata, Kendo, and  Iaido are practiced weekly.

１７８６年酒の杜氏のプライベート道場のために建って、１８８５年から『修武館』になってます。修武館で天道流なぎなた術と新しいなぎなたと剣道と居合道をやられます。天道流は総合武術（剣術や棒術や鎖鎌も使います。）ですけど、修道館でなぎなた術のみやってます。

Notes/コメント：The Ken-Zen Institute is a Kendo and Iaido dojo located on Thomas Street in lower Manhattan. It is a traditional dojo with proper wooden floors made for Kendo practice. Kendo is practiced on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. While Iaido is offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Notes/コメント：On the grounds of Osaka Castle, the Shudokan is a Kendo, Judo, and Naginata dojo. Judo training is held on Tuesday and Friday nights and Kendo is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Naginata is practiced on most mornings during the week. Although, regular training requires a monthly membership, visitors with experience can join training for a nominal fee which is good for one training session. It is run by Osaka City and practitioners of other arts are welcome to rent it out to hold tournaments and events.

大阪城の敷地内修道館は柔道と剣道となぎなた道場です。柔道の稽古は火・金曜日です。剣道の稽古は火・木曜日です。なぎなたの稽古はほとんどの朝です。他の武道の大会などのために道場レンタルをできます。

Notes/コメント：Built and founded in 1964, the Honbu Dojo of the Kyokushinkaikan was headquarters for the organization of up to 12 million practitioners and housed the founder, Mas Oyama’s, office. This is where Sosai Mas Oyama taught and where generations of uchi deshi, sensei, and shihan lived and trained.

ブルックリンのパークスロープで１９７２年高橋周先生を創建しました。2018年から高橋先生はマンハッタン支部道場も営んでます。

Notes/コメント：Founded in 1964, it is the oldest operating Aikido dojo in the USA. The Sensei, Yamada Yoshimitsu, was an uchi-deshi under Aikido’s founder, Ueshiba Morihei.
